Kent Eye Care was established as domiciliary opticians some 18 years ago
Based in Larkfield we are able to provide specialist eye care to those unable to attend their local opticians.
We are registered with the health authorities to provide care anywhere in KENT and are registered and qualified to provide eye examinations, dispense, and supply spectacles which are delivered back to the patient and fitted.

From the first enquiry our eye doctor Dr John Gurney and registered Dispensing Optician Mr Mark Raggatt FBDO aim to visit each patient within a few weeks. Following the eye examination and visual assessment, Dr Gurney will advise the patient whether a new prescription is required, or if a referral to their G.P or Hospital is recommended. If spectacles are required Mark will carry out the dispensing . We aim to deliver any spectacles back to the patient within two weeks, where our Dispensing Optician will carry out a fitting and answer any questions.
The eye examination and visit is FREE to all over 60 under the NHS, and people receiving benefits such as Income Support and Guaranteed Pension Credit. In the unlikely event that you are not entitled to an NHS eye test we will still be able to visit you for an eye examination privately.
